Pittsburgh—if you like our savory hand pies and meat pies, we think you’ll absolutely love our authentic American dumplings! THE best. 🇺🇸

These are NOT trying to be Asian, Italian, Polish or other dumplings. These are quite literally American chicken and dumplings, beef and noodles and such, just in a different form. I have a whole slew of Southern stews I will be dumplifying as well, so stay tuned!

Southerners are the kings and queens of hand pies and biscuits—so if we can stuff it in a pie crust or a biscuit, it can also be stuffed in a dumpling.

In the South, we make leavened, fluffy dumplings as well as flat dumplings/slicks that resemble noodles, which we simmer in the stew; these stuffed dumplings are made using that dough.
